“Art should be as sensual and visually enticing in its execution as it is in its ultimate presentation.” - Lindsay Chambers

Most recently her work has been showcased at Art Interiors Toronto. Lindsay’s work has been added to private collections across Canada and the UK.

Inspired by desired domestic items, Lindsay’s artwork is a textural exploration of oil paint. She uses a variety of brushstroke techniques and layered paint to transform a flat canvas into a multi-dimensional image. Of her work, Lindsay says she enjoys changing a painting from a realistic space to something slightly eccentric from the experience of everyday life. Her aim is to create paintings that evoke thought and discussion among viewers, challenging the eye to look past the implied narrative and explore the aesthetic quality of the colour and brushwork. Her most recent collection delves into the sensual process of painting through selections of digital photography. Whether motivated by colour, still camera work or random snapshots, Lindsay’s work captures the delicate interplay of imagery and aesthetic.
